eBay general settings

Follow

To be able to publish products on eBay, it is essential to complete a set of mandatory and optional settings. Let's see:

General settings

  • Zip Code (mandatory and valid) and the PayPal e-mail address associated with the account (required)
  • Instant payment setting, if enabled in your eBay account
  • Payment methods that can be activated
  • Currency
  • Language: select the language (if the Storeden store has more than one) with which to publish listings. The contents of the product will be taken according to the selected language, it is possible to decide not to publish the products without translation in the language of the marketplace.

Specific listings settings

Different prices for different eBay markets

Thanks to this configuration you can manage different product prices, based on the corresponding eBay site. Alternative prices are managed through product attributes. To proceed you have to follow this procedure:

  1. Create product attributes. Product attributes must be of type number with decimals, check the Ecommerce > Attributes section if you have this feature.
  2. Enter the prices in the product page in correspondence to the created attribute fields. The price in the base currency of the store or the price already converted in the final currency in which the product will be published must be indicatedSchermata 2018-03-13 alle 12.53.04
  3. Match the attributes in this eBay section (Settings > Listings). If the initial price and the final price are the same (so there are no discounts) just combine the same product attribute created in the two fields. Conversely, if the initial price and the final price are different (if there is a discount), it will be necessary to create two product attributes in which the two different prices will be indicated. The two attributes created must then be correctly associated in this section. Schermata 2018-03-13 alle 12.03.27
  4. Select the "convert alternative prices" button if and only if in the attribute fields you have indicated the price in the base currency of the store and not the price already converted.

Other listings settings

  • Maximum number of product images sent in a listing. Pay attention that eBay fees vary with the number of images sent.
  • Listing content: it is the descriptive part of the listing, and can be generated using the model (Models section) set, or, if there are, the downloaded contents of listings.
  • Unlimited quantities: this function allows you to set the available quantity to send to eBay if there are products in Storeden with unlimited quantities. This setting is useful for avoiding any sales restrictions or limits imposed by eBay.
  • End of listing: allows you to choose the operation to be performed when the products are sold out, disabled or deleted:
    • What to do in case the product is exhausted: it is possible to continue to synchronize the listing normally or to end it.
    • What to do in case the product is disabled: it is possible to continue to synchronize the listing normally or to end it. Once it is visible again, the listing will be re-enabled.
    • What to do in case the product is sold out: the listing becomes an orphan, you can decide to leave it in Ebay or end it. Once finished, it will no longer be recoverable.

It is always advisable to terminate the listing only if the products sold out will no longer be sold. Conversely, if a product is momentarily exhausted then it is strongly recommended to keep the standard update.

Purchase proposal

The purchase proposal applies only to products that do NOT have the variants, moreover this option could be activated only for some eBay categories. In this section two data will be indicated:

  • activate / deactivate the purchase proposal
  • indicate whether to accept automatically the proposals equal to at least a certain percentage indicated or not;
  • indicate whether to automatically reject proposals below a certain amount indicated in this section or not.

It is also possible to keep automatic acceptance / rejection disabled. In this case, within your eBay account you can from time to time accept or reject the proposals made by customers.

Return policy

When selling on eBay it is mandatory to provide a return policy: a number of days within which you can request it and the person to whom the cost will be charged. In addition, if the eBay site allows it, you can enter an information text for the user.

Shipping: national

Shipping cost is provided to eBay for each listing.

  1. Associate a Storeden shipping with an eBay
  2. The shipping cost will be calculated based on the shipping settings configured in Settings > shipping.
  3. You can choose not to take into account the parameters of gratuity of the same.

It is mandatory to specify at least one national shipping. It is possible to associate multiple national shipping profiles by clicking on the "+ Add national shipping" button.

Even for shipping, you can provide a specific price for eBay if you want to differentiate the cost between the ecommerce and the marketplace. In this case, instead of the price calculated by Storeden, the price entered in the product for the set attribute will be sent.

Shipping: international

  1. Associate a Storeden shipping with an eBay
  2. The shipping cost will be calculated based on the shipping settings configured inSettings > shipping.
  3. You can choose not to take into account the parameters of gratuity of the same.

It is possible to associate more international shipping profiles by clicking on the "+ Add international shipping" button.

Exclusion of countries and/or brands

  • Countries where the purchase of the item is not allowed
  • Brands whose products do not have to be published. In the event that a brand is deactivated following the publication of the product, the product must be manually terminated by Synchronizations> Insertions> Insertions at the top right and then clicking on "End Listing".

Orders: managed countries and synchronization

From the Configurations > Orders section you can select the origin of the orders that are imported into the connected store.

If no country is selected, all orders from the various eBay accounts will always be downloaded to the current store.

Merchants with Storeden Enterprise solution may want to select the reference orders to download for each store.

From this section it is possible to enable the synchronization of the order status sent by Storeden to eBay. If an order is set to "Shipped" in Storeden, Storeden communicates this status change to Ebay. It is possible to decide whether to send the shipment tracking code, when present.
