DeepL Translator allows you to integrate the system DeepL to translate your catalog in just a few clicks.
In order to use this system you'll need a DeepL pro account with DeepL API plan and generate an auth key directly from your DeepL account.
More information about DeepL pro and auth key here and here.
If the DeepL auth key is not generated and entered in the appropriate field, the translation system won't work.
Once the app is configured, you'll see a page similar to the one shown below.
Base language of your store indicates its main display language (in our example, it's Italian). Below, you will see the other languages enabled in the store and the translations available with DeepL.
For more information on the languages supported by DeepL, click here.
In the right section you can select the translation target language and, optionally, decide whether or not to translate the page's SEO contents (SEO description, SEO title and SEO keywords).
Below are three tabs: products, categories and brands with the related items, divided by pages, that can be translated. It's possible to bulk select the items per page or only the ones you want on the current page.
To proceed with the translation, click the Translate button in the upper right section. Once you've clicked Translate, the page will lock, indicating the process is in progress, as seen in the screenshot below.
Once the translation is finished, a report will be shown with the status of the translations and any errors that may have occurred during the process.
From the app's homepage, clicking a product's SKU code will open a detail page containing product information in the base language (not editable) with a link to the corresponding Backoffice page. In addition, it will show translation details for the alternative languages (editable), where you can apply automatic DeepL translations (with a results report as in the main screen).
The same service is available for store categories and brands (by clicking the names from the list on the main page).
To access the translation functionality, simply browse to the DeepL Translator app or open Backoffice > Tools > Translations directly.
For each product, category or brand, you'll find a button that allows you to translate with DeepL.
